Conference postponed but for all the right reasons

Due to a very positive and encouraging response from the tourism industry the project group has taken the decision to delay the conference which was planned for the 24th of February in order to answer a few key questions before proceeding to a final conference.

Over the past two months, widespread industry and public sector consultation has taken place and businesses and organisations in the tourism sector have been sharing their thoughts about the way forward for tourism in Dumfries and Galloway. Following the successful series of workshops in January, more than 100 businesses both large and small from across the area have completed the online questionnaire and it is clear there is great passion and shared will to work together to drive tourism. The questionnaire is now closed but a summary of the findings will be posted on the website shortly.

A further e-newsletter will be circulated announcing the revised date and further details of the conference in the coming weeks.
