Overwhelming response to conference

 Following the recent announcement about the conference, the project group assigned to this feasibility study have been overwhelmed by the response.

 More than 100 people from across Dumfries and Galloway have already registered for the conference which will take place from 2-5pm on Thursday 21st May at the Urr Valley Hotel, Castle Douglas. Places are limited so if you would still like to attend we advise you to book now to avoid disappointment.

Following an extended consultation process on the potential development of a private sector led tourism organisation for Dumfries and Galloway, the Area Tourism Partnership’s project group is now pleased to announce the date of the conference and encourages all tourism businesses and the wider community with an interest in the future of tourism in Dumfries and Galloway to attend. The conference will take place in Urr Valley Hotel, Castle Douglas from 2 – 5pm on Thursday 21st May 2009.

Delegates will hear from tourism consultants Professor Terry Stevens and Yvonne Crook of the Stevens View Partnership, recognised for their pioneering approach to destination development.
